A late 19th century desk accoutrement incorporating three entwined bronze lizards mounted on a Belgian black marble base. The quality of this piece is stunning, with extremely fine bronze casting, allowing the minute scales of the lizards' skin to be visible all over their bodies. The grooves in the marble were for resting nib pens.
