An unusual cast iron based wine-lamp table, with a scallop-edged mahogany top. The casting design of the base incorporates stylised bunches of grapes and leaves with scrolling 'ropes' which trail downwards to form the legs of the table. This combined with the 'flame' mahogany top makes it a most unusual and striking table. There is a registered design lozenge cast into the metal, with a date letter for 1870. Remnants of old maroon paintwork evident on areas of the base.
