An early mahogany display unit sourced from a local, West Country chemist's shop. A very elegant piece, with graduated shelf heights, and a shaped top frieze incorporating gadrooned 'fans' and 'bulls-eye' roundels. Being sold in as-found condition, complete with small scuffs, scratches and dust. Besides this general wear and tear, a couple of small sections of the flanking beading and one of the top roundels are missing. Could be used as either an open bookshelf, a dresser-rack in a kitchen, or behind a bar in a restaurant.
