A 19th century painted pine side table with faux bamboo legs. There is evidence that this was originally made as a washstand, with shaped side panels and backboard. The original 'drab' paint colour can be glimpsed where the later paint layeres have chipped. There is only one working drawer (the central one) whilst the other two either side are only dummy fronts to balance the design.
 
A very practical piece for use either as a lamp table or a hall table.
