A 19th century oil on canvas painting of a three-masted barkentine vessel, sailing out to sea. It is portrayed flying a Red Ensign signifying it is a British merchant of passenger ship. Signed 'T. Pearson' to lower right. There are a couple of small dents to the canvas surface, but otherwise in very good condition, with bright colour. Original period maple frame.
