A pair of Victorian scratch-built chimney ornaments, in the shape of some deer stags. Skillfully cut out of sheet brass to create stylised silhouettes and then mounted on box plinths, also of brass. Despite their simplicity they ooze character with the simple addition of a couple of stamped details representing an eye and an eyebrow. Lovely, good-sized examples of homemade folk art.
