A 19th century tole tea canister, originally from a grocer's provisions store. This is a large oval-shaped example, with gilded chinoiserie decoration, made by Bartlett & Son, Bristol. There is some surface wear, and it is missing its lid, but it remains a highly decorative and attractive piece.
