A rare, and early 19th century (c. 1840) blue ribbed mochaware jug of diminuitive size. This is essentially a miniature version of the more common, larger ribbed jugs made for Victorian public houses, which were usually made to hold up to 6 pints of beer. Maybe this was made as a tradesman's sample? In good condition. Crazing to glaze.
