SOLD
A rare, and early 19th century (c.1830–1840) commercial slipware mocha jug of diminutive size. This is only the second one we have ever been lucky enough to acquire. It is essentially a miniature version of the more common, larger, blue-ribbed jugs made for Victorian public houses, which usually held up to 6 pints of beer! It is possible that this miniature example was made as a tradesman's sample. In excellent condition.
