An ebonised hardwood table top mirror, used for scientific experiments on light properties. This is a rare example, as it possesses both parabolic (concave) and convex mirrored glass on a single stand. The double-sided circular mirror is supported on a telescopic stem, suspended between an adustable bronze cradle. Stamped 'DL CRETET & KC GER - PARIS'.

 

In good sturdy condition. It has been cleaned and lightly waxed.
