A carved wood pigeon decoy by English maker William Jaggard. This is a good specimen, portraying all the typical attributes of his birds, which includes the long neck, a long tail, a cast lead beak, glass eyes, and the familiar paint finish. As he used a soft metal like lead to case his beaks, his decoys invariably have bent beaks, ending up rather hook-like over time, but this is a good indicator of its originality. Overall in good condition with a small amount of wear. STAND NOT INCLUDED
