An Edwardian shellwork diorama commemorating the coronation of Edward VII in 1902. It features a photograph of the King behind glass, surrounded by shellwork. In nice original condition.

 

These shellwork dioramas were produced in the late Victorian/early Edwardian period as souvenirs of coastal towns and seaside locations, often bought by sailors as presents for their sweethearts.
