A well made, scratch-built wooden model of a steam-powered merchant ship, set within a glazed pine case. The ship sits in a sea made of sheep's wool with a naively painted landscape behind.
 
There is a small break to the glass in one corner, but its location means that it does not detract from the overall charm of this genuine example of sailor's folk art.
