An evocative English sailor's woolwork, or 'woolie', of a naval ship moored off shore. A small sailing boat sits alongisde, possibly to ferry a sailor home to the little cottage sitting on the shore line, with its chimney stack invitingly emitting smoke! A lovely example of maritime folk art. Note how the portholes on the moored frigate have been portrayed by tiny glass beads sown onto the woolstrands. There are a few small holes to the picture but nothing too detrimental. Overall in nice condition with strong colours.
