A good example of a sailor's woolwork, or 'woolie' featuring a British Naval warship in full sail. It is in lovely condition with tight clean wools, and unfaded colour. A nice size too, so a perfect addition for a wall collection of similar maritime folk art. Although it dates to the mid-late 19th century, an inscription to the reverse reads - 'bought in Edinburgh, September 1938'.
