A large example of this traditional sailor's folk art, dating to the early 1900s. It portrays a British steamship naively rendered using silk threads, as opposed to the usual wool threads, in a bold simple palette. It is in remarkable condition for its age, and makes a striking wall decoration for either a traditional or modern interior.
