A small late Victorian circular shellwork diorama featuring a photographic print of Blackpool Tower by the sea. In front of this is an artfully arranged display of shells and seaweed, creating a 3D effect to the view through the hand-blown glass. In good condition and ready to hang.
 
These shellwork dioramas were produced in the late Victorian/Edwardian period as souvenirs of coastal towns and seaside locations, often bought by sailors to take home as presents for their sweethearts.
