A large 19th century toleware grocer shop tea canister. An unusual example, ovoid in cross-section, designed to sit on shallow shelving. It is missing its lid, and there are some corrosion holes to the base. Brass maker's label to reverse for 'Bartlett &  Sons, Bristol'.
