A superb early 19th century pine blanket box in its original petrol-green paintwork. It was sourced directly from a hill farm in North Wales. A very unusual example in that instead of traditional iron hinges, it has 'locating pegs', a vernacular feature that links the lid to the base. One of these pegs has been repaired, otherwise the chest is in good, sound condition. Internally there is a candle tray and drawer.
