An early 20th century carved wood wild pigeon decoy. A lovely example attributed to Norfolk-based James Rolph. His father, Francis Rolph, is reputed to have been carving pigeon decoys as early as 1880. This example shows signs of use as a working decoy but retains much of its original paint finish, as well as its beak and glass eyes. Very good condition.
