A large Edwardian apothecary shop bottle, that once contained concetrated flower oils, made especially for 'J. Maw, Son & Sons Ltd'. This company started business in teh early 19th century and for nearly a hundred years was based in Aldersgate Street, London. They were a manufacturer and retailer of chemist and medical sundries, including surgical instruments and hospital furniture, and were a supplier to the Royal Navy.

 

This particular bottle dates from between 1900 and 1920, and is very good condition.
