An 18th century box settle with a lovely warm patina of age. Made of pine, oak and ash wood, and still has remnants of its original ox-blood paintwork. All original, except the later, 19th century boards that have been added to the box bottom. The underside of the box lid features some old carved initials. Being sold as found - no modern repairs have been done to it. Height measurement quoted is to the top of the back of the settle.
