A rare opportunity to acquire an original decorative artwork by the renowned British designer J. Antony Redmile. Large helmet conch shell mounted on plated metal stand. Stamped name to base.

Antony Redmile, born in 1940, was a trail-blazing interior designer of the 1960s and '70s with his eccentric, over-the-top furniture designs incorporating unusual and exotic materials such as animal horns, ostrich eggs, shells and highly-polished mounts. His extravagant designs stood out from the crowd, and made dramatic displays in his showrooms on the Pimlico Road, Sloane Street, and later, the King's Road in London.
