An absolutely charming naive landscape painting. A genuine and authentic piece, which has recorded the toll gate at Atherstone, Warwickshire in the early 1900s. We particularly like the primitive way in which the artist has portrayed the trees in the background. Professionally cleaned and restored, and reframed. Signed 'S. C. A.' to lower right corner.
