An engaging still life study of a bowl of fruit next to a jug, posed on a table by a window. The colours are particularly attractive in this painting, with the oranges and lemons complimenting the Clarice Cliff style surface decoration on the ceramic jug. There is also a lovely connection between the folds in the table cloth, the curtains and the nets in the window. Signed with initials 'H. W. A.'. Some cracks to paint surface but these are sound, and overall the picture is in good condition.
