A Staffordshire pottery 'flatback' of a rural couple. The woman is carrying a faggot of sticks on her head, whilst her beau carries a water bottle. The group is mainly in its white ground, but there has been some nice enamel detailing added to the woman's skirt and the gentleman's waistcoat, which elevates this into a more decorative piece. In very good condition.
