A vintage bronze caged ship light with the most perfect natural verdigris patination. This is a very versatile lamp, as it needed to be used on board a working vessel - it can be used either as a table lamp, a hanging pendant light, or a portable inspection light (the rope handle has been left attached). It has now been rewired for internal domestic use, but still retains all its versatility. Obviously it could be mounted and hung as a permanent ceiling light.
