An unfussy and simple design, 19th century pine kitchen table, with original oxide-red paintwork. Sourced locally here in Cornwall. It has two very generously sized drawers, both of which run smoothly. The pine plank top is nicely worn after many years of use and is also somewhat gnarled with old woodworm tracks. The table has been treated and sealed which has had the added effect of highlighting the striking grain of this period wood. Height to skirt i.e. leg clearance space, 58cm.
