A Victorian seaside souvenir cup and saucer from Looe, in Cornwall. This large scale tea cup was for a gentleman, as it incorporates a moustache guard within the bowl. The hand-tinted transfer print to the exterior illustrates the bridge over the estuary, linking east and west sides of Looe. Small chip to cup lip. No cracks.
