SOLD
A charming watercolour of a young woman, of the early Victorian era, in its original ebonised Oxford frame. An inscription to the reverse of the painting reads - 'Mrs Whitcombe, 8 New Square, Lincoln's Inn'. This address is one of the four Inns of Court in London to which barristers of England and Wales belong. It is situated in Holborn, in the Borough of Camden.
There is some damage to the picture frame, but this does not detract from the painting, and if anything adds to its authenticity and age.
