An original trade sign for the Allsopp's Brewery. A rare surviving example that would have once graced the exterior of a public house or hotel in the 1930s. Cast zinc, featuring the Allsopps trademark 'hand', and the date 1856. Flaking paintwork.
 
Ind Coope established a brewery in 1856, and in 1934 merged with Samuel Allsopp & Sons to become Ind Coope & Allsopp.
