An original double-sided trade sign for the Allsopp's Brewery. A rare surviving example that would have once graced the exterior of a public house or hotel in the 1930s. Cast alloy, featuring the Allsopp's trademark 'hand' and the date 1856. Remnants of old paintwork, some of it now flaking.
 
Ind Coope established a brewery in 1856, and in 1934 merged with Samuel Allsopp & Sons, to become Ind Coope & Allsopp.
