A vintage carved wood pigeon decoy, by Harry Boddy. This is one of his flat-bottomed examples with a hollowed cavity to make them lighter. In use, it would have been placed on top of a metal stake, above the ground so that any breeze would make it 'bob', as though it were feeding. A particularly good example with little wear to the original paintwork.
