A large glazed box frame housing a collection of exotic shells. Annotated to interior - 'Shells found on Butterworth Beach, Malaya, 1955, E. E. K.'. This wonderful decorative display would look perfect on a bathroom wall.
 
NB In 1955 Malaya was still part of the British Empire, which it had been part of since 1826. The country gained its independence two years later in 1957.
